
A 60-year-old man died this Friday as a result of an attack at a home on Marcelo Usera Street, in the Usera district of the capital, reported this Saturday. The victim had a wound to his leg and severe bleeding that caused him to go into irreversible cardiorespiratory arrest. A 57-year-old man has been arrested as allegedly responsible for the murder.
The event took place shortly before 11:30. When police officers arrived they found that the victim had a stab wound to his left leg and was still alive. While waiting for Summa 112, the police put a tourniquet on his leg to stop the bleeding, but the man went into cardiorespiratory arrest once he was being assisted by the paramedics. After more than 30 minutes performing advanced resuscitation maneuvers, the stop was not able to be reversed, according to Emergencies Madrid.

According to National Police sources, the victim was at the house of a friend, who was later arrested as a suspected murderer. This man was the one who opened the door to the officers and told them that his friend had been stabbed. Faced with an incoherent speech and after finding the weapon used in the attack, a large knife, in the house, the National Police arrested the resident of the house as allegedly responsible for a crime of homicide. Both the victim and her possible attacker are of Spanish nationality.
The National Police, and specifically the Judicial Police of the Usera police station, has taken charge of the investigations. This in the Community of Madrid.
