A delicious oven-baked snack. Recipe for Korean garlic rolls

These are one of the most famous Korean street food hits, they are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, filled with sweet cheese and dipped in a buttery garlic sauce. Korean garlic buns It’s made quickly and the taste… is totally addictive. You can eat them as a snack or serve them with warm dishes. They are also perfect for house parties and family gatherings.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 200 g of cream cheese,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1-2 tablespoons of cream 30%.

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 70 g of butter,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 tablespoon of milk,
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh or dried parsley.

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar and cream. Mix thoroughly until a smooth and fluffy cream is obtained. Transfer the mixture to a pastry bag.

Cut each roll into six pieces, but do not cut all the way through so that the bottom remains intact. Squeeze portions of the cheese filling into the resulting pockets.

Peel the garlic and press it through a press.

Melt the butter in a pot. Add egg, milk, garlic and parsley. Mix until you obtain a uniform sauce, but do not cook.

Dip each stuffed roll thoroughly in the garlic sauce – the roll must be completely covered with it. Place on a baking tray lined with paper.

Bake at 180°C for a few minutes until the Korean garlic buns are golden brown.
