Renan Lodi, 27 years old, started his career at Athletico-PR and played for Atlético de Madrid
Atlético-MG confirmed, this Saturday, the signing of left-back Renan Lodi, who signed a contract for the next five seasons.
“Atlético informs that it has completed the signing of left-back Renan Lodi. He is the first reinforcement of the 2026 season. Renan Lodi arrived in Belo Horizonte on the morning of this Friday, December 26th, to undergo medical examinations and complete the procedures until the signing of the official agreement”, wrote the club on its official website.
Renan Lodi, aged 27, began his career at Athletico-PR and moved to Atlético de Madrid in 2019. He also played for Nottingham Forest, from England, and Olympique de Marseille, from France, before moving to Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, in 2024.
Lodi was champion of the 2018 Copa do Brasil, the 2019 Copa Sudamericana and the 2020/2021 Spanish Championship, in addition to the Saudi Championship and the Copa del Rey (with Al Hilal) in 2023/24. The defender played 19 games for the Brazilian national team and participated in the 2021 Copa América.
