The former president (PL) will undergo a new medical procedure aimed at controlling his hiccups, according to former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro in a post on social media.
After the hernia surgery that Bolsonaro underwent on Thursday (25), Claudio Birolini, one of the former president’s doctors, explained that the procedure was a phrenic nerve block – an anesthesia of the diaphragm nerve to try to contain the hiccups.
“This anesthetic block, which is a relatively safe procedure, but which is not the standard for treating hiccups. It really needs to be seen whether this justifies the benefit, the risk”, stated Birolini at the time. According to the doctor, this is not a surgical procedure.
Former councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), son of the former president, stated on social media that Jair Renan, the youngest, is waiting at the DF Star hospital, in Brasília, for more information, as it is not possible for more than one child to visit.
