Narrator Galvão Bueno, 75 years old, was discharged this Saturday morning (27) after feeling ill last Wednesday (24), the day before Christmas. The journalist was hospitalized in Santa Casa de Londrina, a city in Paraná where he lives and was with his family. The hospital’s press office announced the medical discharge.

Galvão Bueno’s health condition was not considered serious – he was never admitted to the ICU. The medical board taking care of the communicator decided to leave him under observation after he showed symptoms of pneumonia. The narrator underwent tests in the last few days and was released by doctors to recover at home.

In November, Galvão Bueno had been hospitalized for a week at Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo, to treat viral pneumonia. The narrator has been observed since his hospitalization last month.

Recently, Galvão Bueno signed an agreement with SBT to narrate the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Last Sunday, Galvão narrated, on Amazon Prime, the big decision of the Copa do Brasil between Vasco and Corinthians, at Maracanã. The Parque São Jorge club won 2-1 and won the knockout tournament.
