Phnom Penh/Bangkok – Thailand and Cambodia agreed on a ceasefire on Saturday and want to end weeks of heavy border fighting with dozens of deaths. The ceasefire is scheduled to come into force at 12:00 p.m. local time (06:00 a.m. CET). It affects “all types of weapons, attacks on civilians, civilian objects and infrastructure as well as military targets on both sides – in all cases and in all areas,” it said in a joint statement.
