In a moving report, Juliano Cazarré talks about progress in his daughter's treatment

He spoke about the health of his daughter Maria Guilhermina, aged 3 and a half, and revealed what her biggest wish is for the child. The girl, the result of a relationship with Letícia Cazarré, was born with Ebstein’s anomaly, a rare congenital heart disease, and spent the first seven months of her life hospitalized in a hospital in São Paulo. She is currently undergoing treatment at home, with regular medical monitoring.

According to the actor, Maria Guilhermina makes monthly visits to the hospital to change the tracheostomy cannula and presents gradual advances in treatment. He highlighted goals set by the family and medical team for the coming years. “Our goal for 2026 is for her to be able to get off the ventilator for good. My dream is for her to be able to eat real food, because to this day she feeds with formula. Professionals help her, because she suffered after-effects from the first year of life. She has motor and cognitive delays. And, as she lives with a tracheostomy, she can’t speak either. I really wanted to hear her voice”, said the actor.

When recalling his daughter’s hospitalization period, Cazarré explained that, despite the difficulties, he faced even more delicate moments in his personal life. “The worst thing I experienced was when I went through a personal crisis and in my marriage, because there I didn’t have faith to sustain me. With Guilhermina, there was already a supernatural perspective, an understanding that everything happens for the good of people. I knew that I had to carry that cross and that it had a meaning. But it’s difficult to see your son suffer. There were a lot of injections, tubes, open-chest operations…”, he said.

Father of six children, the actor also spoke about how he sees fatherhood and the challenges of family routine. In addition to Maria Guilhermina, he is the father of Estêvão, aged 1 year and 8 months, Maria Madalena, aged 4, Gaspar, aged 6, Inácio, aged 13, and Vicente, aged 15.

For Cazarré, being a father requires constant dedication and patience. “Being a father means having a spirit of giving. It’s a challenge, especially patience. It’s difficult, a lot of people talking all the time, a lot of noise, mess, things disappear, no one knows who took them. Sometimes I get angrier than I should. You have to look at my shopping carts. When I go to the market, it’s an activity. I take a headset, take that restaurant owner’s cart and put 36 boxes of milk, bags of lemons, oranges, 2kg of tomatoes… It’s sinister”, he analyzed.

The actor, who currently plays Jorginho in the soap opera Três Graças, stated that his experience as a father shaped his outlook on life and reinforced the importance of daily care for his family.
