Man arrested after attacking three women with knife in Paris metro

Police in France have detained a man suspected of attacking three women with a knife at three metro stations in the center of France. Paris this Friday (26)according to information from the city prosecutor’s office.

The three women were stabbed at the stations Republic, Arts and Crafts and Opera around 4pm local time.

According to information from the French newspaper Le Figaro, the women suffered only minor injuries, although they were left in a state of emotional shock after the attack.

The man, aged 25, was identified thanks to security cameras.

According to authorities, he was already known to police for minor offenses, including property damage. The motivation for the crime, however, is still unknown.

On social media, the Paris metro operator, RATP, reported that there had been an incident in its operation, but added that the situation had been normalized.
