Man stabs 3 women on Paris metro

Suspect attacked victims at different stations; was detained by authorities with the help of cameras

A man stabbed 3 women at different stations on line 3 of the Paris metro. The attacks took place on Friday (Dec 26, 2025), around 4pm, at République, Arts et Métiers and Opéra stations. The suspect was detained by French authorities.

The attacker’s arrest was possible thanks to the analysis of CCTV images (surveillance cameras) and geolocation data obtained from his cell phone, according to police authorities. The information is from the newspaper .

All victims received immediate medical attention. RTAP (Parisian public transport operator) confirmed that firefighters treated the injured women and that security teams were sent to reinforce protection on the metro line.
