The , was transferred to the Federal Police (PF) headquarters in Brasília this Saturday, 27th. He left the PF headquarters in Foz do Iguaçu at 9:20 am and took off at 10:00 am in a corporation aircraft, after spending the night of Friday, 26th, at the location.

In the early hours of Friday, Vasques was detained in Paraguay amid an escape attempt. The former general director was sentenced by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to 24 years and six months in prison on the 16th. Among other things, he allegedly commanded illegal blitzes in the 2022 elections with the aim of disrupting the flow of voters in the Northeast who would tend to vote for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
Silvinei Vasques had been under electronic monitoring since August 2024, when he was released from pre-trial detention. This month, the former director of the PRF was sentenced by the STF to 24 years and six months in prison.

After Vasques’ escape and arrest, Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered the house arrest of 10 other convicts of the coup plot. In addition to the arrest, precautionary measures were imposed such as the ban on the use of social networks, contact with other people being investigated, the surrender of passports, the suspension of firearm possession documents and the ban on visits.
