The First Panel of the Federal Supreme Court convicted 29 people in the criminal actions of the coup plot planned at the end of Jair Bolsonaro’s government. Only two defendants were acquitted due to lack of evidence
Between September and December 2025, the panel analyzed the cases of the defendants who made up sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the coup plot. Check the prison time of each convict:

Reginaldo Vieira de Abreu: 15 years and 6 months
The two people acquitted were Army General Estevam Theophilo, defendant in Core 3, and Fernando de Sousa Oliveira, Federal Police delegate and former director of Operations at the Ministry of Justice, defendant in Core 2.
Core 5, of incitement and defamation, is made up of just one name, Paulo Figueiredo, grandson of the last president of the military dictatorship, João Figueiredo. The defendant lives in the United States and there is no date for his trial
