US President presents himself as the final arbiter of any peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
Donald Trump will be with Volodymyr Zelenskyy this Sunday to discuss the US peace proposal to end the war in Ukraine and Ukraine’s response to that document.
The president of Ukraine has already announced that he will take one of 20 points to this meeting; the document proposes a demilitarized zone and the meeting is expected to focus on US security guarantees.
But Trump doesn’t seem very convinced: “Zelenskyy has nothing until I approve. So let’s see what he has.”
