Armação dos Búzios, on the north coast of Rio de Janeiro, was a quiet fishing village until, in 1964, the visit of French actress Brigitte Bardotthen accompanied by her Brazilian boyfriend. From that moment on, the resort gained international visibility. The artist died this Sunday (28), at 91 years old.

In November 2014, Brigitte Bardot wrote a letter to Buzios City Hallin the Lagos Region, in which he expressed his deep love for the municipality. The text was released by the municipal administration itself.
In the letter, the actress recalls that, when she met Búzios, the place practically there was no infrastructurenot even electricity. Still, he claims to have lived there some of the moments happiest in your life.
“There were sublime and wild landscapes, and deserted beaches, dream beaches,” he wrote.
Bardot also highlights the transformations that the municipality has undergone over the years, becoming a “fashionable resort, known throughout the world and very popular”.

Bardot became world famous in the 1950s and 1960s for her free-spirited performances and sexual magnetism on the silver screen. She starred in films such as “And God Created Woman” (1956) and “The Contempt” (1963). As a singer, she also released several albums during this time.
