Brasília – Brazilian ex-President Jair Bolsonaro, who was imprisoned for a coup attempt, has undergone diaphragm surgery for chronic hiccups. The procedure went well, the treating doctor, Mateus Saldanha, told journalists on Saturday. A second site on the phrenic nerve should be treated on Monday to alleviate the symptoms. Bolsonaro only had groin surgery on Thursday and was released from prison.
