The criminal prosecution in the matter of the criminal act of dangerous threats is led by an authorized member of the District Department of the Sabinov Police Force in connection with the incident that occurred on Saturday (December 27) in the afternoon in the village of Ostrovany. TASR was informed about this by the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Prešov, Jana Ligdayová.

As she stated, At first, a 36-year-old man physically attacked his wife, beat her, twisted her arms and threatened to kill her and the children, to set fire to the house.
“Since this behavior of a man towards his loved ones was repeated, they were afraid for their lives, for their health. After arriving at the family home, the police patrol restricted the aggressive man’s personal freedom, he was placed in a police custody cell,” said Ligday, adding that if the man’s guilt is proven, according to the law, he faces a prison sentence of up to three years, because the act was committed against a protected person.
