Beyoncé officially becomes a billionaire after successful tour, says Forbes

After the release of her latest album, Cowboy Carter’s country opus, Beyoncé embarked on the highest-grossing tour in the world in 2025. Accompanied by advertising campaigns, TV appearances and even the launch of her own cosmetics line, the singer ends the year by entering the select Clube do Bilhão, as the newest billionaire in show business.

Only 22 artists are part of the group of celebrities who have exceeded ten digits of wealth, according to Forbes. According to the magazine, almost half of these artists joined the list in the last three years alone. Now, Beyoncé is the fifth musician to join the club, alongside her husband, Jay-Z and singers Taylor Swift and Rihanna, as well as Bruce Springsteen.

Cowboy Carter’s tour raised more than US$400 million (R$2.2 billion) in ticket sales, according to the Pollstar portal. The singer also earned over US$50 million (R$275 million) in merchandise sold at shows, according to Forbes estimates.

The magazine added the earnings from the tour to the income from the artist’s extensive musical catalog, in addition to sponsorship contracts this year. According to Forbes, it is estimated that Beyoncé will have earned US$148 million (R$814 million) in 2025 before taxes, making her the third highest-paid musician in the world.

Long career

After the Renaissance phenomenon, which consolidated the artist as one of the main pop music icons in the world, Beyoncé made another innovative move in her career. In 2024, the singer released the country album Cowboy Carter, surprising even her most loyal fans. The release earned the artist her first Grammy for Best Album of the Year (and two more trophies).

Over her more than 20-year career (not including the period in which she was part of the group Destiny’s Child), Beyoncé released eight studio albums and five more live albums, in addition to traveling the world on five solo tours. But it was in 2010 that his empire began to take on the shape it would have today, when he founded Parkwood Entertainment.

The company responsible for managing his entire professional career is in charge of producing all his music, documentaries and shows. Parkwood bears most of the costs, but also absorbs most of the profits from everything that is raised.

Despite launching her own brand of hair products (Cécred), a whiskey label (SirDavis) and, previously, a clothing line (Ivy Park, discontinued in 2024), the majority of the singer’s personal fortune comes from music.

According to Forbes, in any segment of the entertainment industry, one of the most profitable businesses is the ability to fill stadiums — and Beyoncé has invested in this presentation model.

For the Cowboy Carter tour, the singer performed 32 shows with performances concentrated in just nine stadiums in the United States and Europe. Even with the shows at specific points, the tour brought together a total audience of 1.6 million people.
