Federal Revenue pays December fine mesh batch

Around 263 thousand people will receive R$605.99 million; R$309.6 million will go to tax payers with legal priority for reimbursement

Around 249 thousand people who fell through the cracks and settled their disputes with the tax authorities will settle their accounts. The Federal Revenue pays, this Monday (Dec 29, 2025), the fine mesh batch for December. It also includes residual refunds from previous years.

In total, 263,255 people will receive R$605.99 million. Of this total, R$309.6 million will go to tax payers with legal priority for reimbursement.

Refunds are distributed as follows:

  • 178,030 people who used the pre-filled declaration and/or simultaneously chose to receive the refund via Pix;
  • 34,796 people aged 60 to 79;
  • 29,688 people without priority;
  • 11,344 people whose biggest source of income is teaching;
  • 5,310 people over 80 years old;
  • 4,087 people with physical or mental disabilities or serious illnesses.

How to consult

Open since December 22nd, consultation can be made at . Just click on “My Income Tax” and then on the “Consult Refund” button. It is also possible to consult the Federal Revenue app for tablets and smartphones.

Payment

Payment will be made to the account or Pix key type CPF informed in the Income Tax declaration. If the person is not on the list, they must go to the (Virtual Taxpayer Service Center) and obtain the declaration extract. If you notice a pending issue, you can send a rectifying statement and wait for the next batches of fine mesh.

If, for any reason, the refund is not deposited in the account informed in the declaration, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to 1 year at BC (Banco do Brasil). In this case, the citizen can schedule credit in any bank account in their name, through or by calling the bank’s Relationship Center, on telephone numbers 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the person does not redeem the amount of their refund after 1 year, they must request the amount on the e-CAC Portal. When entering the page, the citizen must access the “Declarations and Statements” menu, click on “My Income Tax” and then in the “Request refund not redeemed in the banking network” field.
