The president of the PP, , indicated this Monday in his appearance to review the political year that the year 2025 has been “the year of the total collapse of Sanchismo.” “Spain is full of everyday heroes who build the country that we are. And the normal thing is to wonder if all those Spaniards have a Government up to their standards and receive from politics what they really deserve. And the answer unfortunately is no.” The PP leader insisted in his appearance that “Spain has broken with Pedro Sánchez” and that his party’s duty is to “build the Spain of the day after.” Regarding the pacts after the elections in Extremadura, Feijóo has indicated that his cordon sanitaire “is not Vox nor the Vox voters”, but Bildu.
“2025 has been a bad year for Spain, 2025 has been a terrible year for this Government, it has been the worst year of the worst government in the democratic history of our country,” Feijóo insisted before stating that this year has been “the year of the total collapse of Sanchismo, and that total collapse has manifested itself in at least 10 failures”, among which he has highlighted the inability of the Executive to approve laws in Parliament, the housing situation, the immigration policy that he has described as “inhuman” and “irresponsible”, the management of European funds and the “life precariousness” of young people, who say that they have been forced by the Government to “live worse than their parents”.
The leader of the PP has stated that “it has been revealed that the greatest hypocrisy of this Government has been its supposed commitment to women.” “We have known lack of protection for victims of abuse with defective bracelets, lack of protection and concealment of complaints from women harassed by senior socialist officials. They have protected sexists more than women, while in La Moncloa and Ferraz harassers were protected,” Feijóo denounced.
The tenth failure of the Government in 2025, according to Feijóo, is corruption, which he says is “impossible to cover.” “It is impossible to cover all the cases, all the summaries, all the plots, all the ramifications, all the characters, all the crimes, all the solid details that we have known in these months, all those already convicted,” denounced the leader of the PP before concluding that “Sanchism came to power corrupted and to take over the State.”

The balance of Feijóo’s political year comes a week after the Extremaduran elections, in which the PP emerged victorious after winning 29 seats (one more than in the previous elections) and the PSOE obtained its worst result, going from 28 to 18 deputies. The PP leader assured last Monday before the PP leadership that what happened in Extremadura will happen again to Sánchez in Aragon, Castilla y León and Andalusia, just as it will happen in Spain when there are general elections because the change, according to him, “is underway”: “A domino effect has been activated that is not going to stop. And it is not going to stop because the people have activated it,” he indicated.
The appearance of the leader of the PP also comes after of the Generalitat Valenciana Carlos Mazón. The president of the PP had maintained that Mazón had “been informing him in real time,” explaining “that the situation was very complex.” However, the messages delivered by Feijóo refute this point. According to the notarial record, the first communication occurred at 8:08 p.m. In this sense, Feijóo has indicated in his press conference that he has given the judge what she asked for “in its entirety”: “She told me that the transfer of those messages was voluntary.
