Lucas Borbas26, husband of Isabel Veloso19, responded to the criticism he received on social media after throwing a 1st birthday party for the little one Arthurson with the influencer.
“I have received some unnecessary opinions and judgments. But it is important to say: every decision we make is never on impulse – it is thought out with love, responsibility and, above all, for the good of our son”, wrote Lucas in stories.
“Isabel is hospitalized, and it hurts every day. Even so, we chose not to let Arthur carry this weight. Preserving his joy is also a form of care, love and hope. We are just doing the best we can, within a very difficult situation”, he concluded.
On his Instagram profile, Lucas published a tribute to his son. In the text, he said that a year ago, since the little one was born, everything changed in him. “You arrived in the midst of battles, hospitals, prayers and difficult nights… but you also arrived bringing a love that I had never felt before. A love that heals, that strengthens and that gives meaning to even the hardest days.”
“You are small in size, but giant in purpose. Every smile of yours is a reminder that God continues to write miracles, even when we think we can’t take it anymore”, he continued.
“I promise to be your shelter, your voice, your example and your safe haven. I promise to teach you to be strong without ceasing to be sensitive, courageous without losing kindness, and to never give up on what makes your heart beat faster”, he said.
“Thank you for teaching me, every day, what real love is. Happy 1st birthday, my son. Daddy loves you more than any words can explain”, concluded the influencer.
Hospitalized since November 26th, Isabel recently showed a positive evolution in her clinical condition after undergoing tracheostomy surgery last Friday (26th), in Curitiba.
The procedure, which went without complications, was confirmed by the young woman’s husband, Lucas Borbas, who used social media to reassure his followers and thank them for their messages of support.
Remember the case
Hospitalized since November 26th, Isabel faced a critical period in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), where she remained sedated and intubated. However, after improving, she was extubated and regained consciousness, which allowed the current surgery to be performed.
On October 24th, Isabel underwent a bone marrow transplant and was discharged ahead of schedule. In the photo in which she shared the good news, she posed with a certificate with the phrase: “The bone marrow got me.”
Despite reacting well to the procedure and being discharged ahead of schedule, a few days later she had to return to the hospital. Isabel was intubated again in the early hours of December 4, after doctors diagnosed severe pneumonia, according to updates given by her husband, Lucas Borbas, on social media.
The influencer’s health history is marked by a long battle against Hodgkin’s lymphoma, diagnosed in 2021. Although she spent years in palliative treatment, Isabel announced the disease’s remission in May 2025, contrary to prognoses, and underwent a bone marrow transplant in October of this year.
