Magnus Carlsen remains the measure of all things in chess with shorter thinking times. The Norwegian won his sixth World Rapid Chess title with an outstanding performance on Sunday in Doha, Qatar. With 10.5 points from 13 rounds, the 35-year-old distanced himself from the competition by a full point. In contrast to last year, when Carlsen clashed with the referee in a controversy over the dress code in New York City and canceled the tournament, this year the World Cup took place without any scandals.
