
US President Donald Trump said there is no deadline for concluding a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. “My deadline is to make the war end,” he replied, when asked about a date for concluding negotiations.
“Nothing is more important than a peace agreement on Ukraine and Russia”, he emphasized, alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after welcoming him for a conversation in Florida.
According to Trump, the negotiation is quite complex, but it must continue. “We are excited about the meeting and we will reach a peace agreement. Everyone wants this to happen”, he further stated. According to him, the security agreement will be “strong”, with European nations “very involved”.

He said that there is “great economic benefit for Ukraine” from a possible peace agreement and also stated that the country also made strong attacks on Russia. “I don’t say that in a negative way,” he added.
According to the American president, the two leaders, Putin and Zelensky, want the agreement. The leader thanked those who followed the speech and said that other issues will be brought up at the end of the meeting.
Zelensky, in turn, took the opportunity to thank Trump for his reception and say that the teams worked hard to draft a peace agreement, which will be discussed. “We had Ukraine-US teams working together, the natural sequence is a face-to-face meeting”, he added.
Dmitriev: Putin accepted Trump’s proposal

According to Russian press reports, the phone call between Trump and Putin lasted one hour and 15 minutes, and the presidents also agreed to create two working groups for peace, one focused on security issues and the other on economic aspects.
