North Korea test-fired two long-range missiles towards the Yellow Sea, Kim Jong-un watched the maneuvers

The two missiles flew along the set trajectory for 10.199 and 10.203 seconds, respectively, before hitting the target, the agency said. According to her, the test demonstrated the absolute reliability and readiness of the DPRK for a counterattack.

The command of the South Korean army said that around 8:00 a.m. local time, several rockets were fired from the Sunan area near Pyongyang. It noted that North Korea may conduct more missile tests before the end of the year.

Kim Jong-un intensified inspections of military facilities

North Korea last conducted a ballistic missile test on November 6, just over a week after US President Donald Trump expressed interest in meeting Kim Jong Un during his visit to Asia. Pyongyang did not respond to this offer.

Ahead of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea’s congress next year, Kim Jong-un has stepped up his inspections of military facilities. During a visit to a shipyard where an 8,700-ton strategic nuclear submarine capable of carrying cruise missiles is being built, he warned that South Korea’s intention to build nuclear submarines is a threat to the DPRK’s security that “must be confronted.”
