Procon of São Paulo fined the company Savi Cosméticos Ltda., known by the name WePink, R$ 1,566,416.66. According to the agency, the influencer Virgínia’s company committed several violations of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC). The fine is the result of inspections motivated by consumer complaints and analysis of the company’s website.
Among the main problems identified by the inspection team, non-compliance with delivery deadlines stands out. According to records, in some cases, WePink did not send all of the purchased products.
Procon-SP also found that WePink did not provide adequate after-sales service. Consumers reported excessive delays in refunding amounts and in the actual delivery of new products in cases of exchanges for defective products.
The consumer protection agency also identified that the company showed inertia in responding to requests from consumers who tried to exercise the “right to repentance” – which is the return of a product, with a full refund, within a period of seven days.
The inspection also found that, at the beginning of December, WePink failed to provide mandatory data for e-commerce such as physical address and contact email.
Procon explains that the value of the fine was stipulated according to the severity of the infraction, the advantage obtained and the economic condition of the supplier. The company has the right to defense and consumers who continue to face difficulties when purchasing on this website should formalize complaints with Procon-SP or the consumer protection agency in their city or state.
O Infomoney He contacted WePink’s press office, but has not yet received a response. The space remains open for demonstrations.
