Former Rio de Janeiro councilor Carlos Bolsonaro said that his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro, had hiccups again this Tuesday morning, the 30th, after carrying out procedures to put an end to the problem that has been affecting him in recent days.
In a post on the social network X, Carlos stated that his father started treatment for sleep apnea last night and is in the adaptation phase.
“I slept with my father tonight (Tuesday, 30th). He started treatment for sleep apnea with his own device and is in the adaptation phase. His digestive flora is showing good progress after the new hernia surgeries carried out on the 25th, and his pressure continues to be monitored after new peaks”, said the former president’s son.

“His hiccups, unfortunately, returned again this morning after two corrective procedures. Iron levels in his blood continue to be controlled due to their inefficiency,” he added.
Jair Bolsonaro is admitted to the DF Star hospital, in Brasília. He underwent surgery on December 25th and other procedures to correct his recurring hiccups.
The forecast, according to doctors reported on the afternoon of Monday, 29th, is that the former president could be discharged on January 1st. As soon as this happens, he will return to the superintendence of the Federal Police, where he is serving his sentence after being convicted of attempting a coup d’état in the country.
