Calleri not Boca Juniors?
According to the Argentine press, Boca Juniors started monitoring Jonathan Calleri as one of the options to reinforce the attack next season. The São Paulo center forward appears on a list that also includes Pablo Vegetti and Matías Arezo, all evaluated as possible solutions for the Xeneize offensive sector.
Boca management understands that the current scenario may be favorable to try to repatriate the player. At 32 years old, Calleri is seen as a well-rounded striker, with a strong identification with the club and a decisive record in big games, characteristics highly valued by the coaching staff.
Calleri, in fact, already played for Boca Juniors, having a good spell, with 23 goals and one assist in 59 matches, a performance that quickly made him a fan favorite.
