A six-year-old boy with autism was once again rescued from a lake in Deltona, in the US state of Florida. The incident happened on Christmas Day and mobilized local authorities again.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the child, identified as Coco, was found around 6:30 pm in water that reached her chest, in an area near Conyers Court. Despite the scare, the boy only showed signs of cold and had no injuries.
This was not an isolated case. In 2024, the child had escaped from the house through a door on the second floor, which activated an alarm and led the family to ask authorities for help. At that time, Coco was located in a lake in the same area, clinging to a branch.
