Search for Paraná Research Institute pointed out this Tuesday (30) the profile desired by Brazilian voters from different regions for a candidate for the position of vice president of Brazil in the 2026 elections.

In the Northeast, the priority is regional representation, with 24.9% defending an experienced local politician. In the Southeast, 25.1% prefer someone who focuses on the economy and the productive sector.

In the South and North/Central-West, the choice of a woman as vice-president is the most valued characteristicwith 27.5% and 27.4%, respectively.

Of the total number of interviewees, the most important characteristic for 24.4% of voters is that the position of vice president is held by a woman. Then, 22.3% ask for a representative from the production/agribusiness sector.

13.2% want an experienced politician from the Northeast, to better represent the country. On the other hand, 12.2% of voters prefer someone they trust completely or who is from (PL). For 9.9%, it is someone linked to religion and family defense, who has a conservative or evangelical profile.

The sample interviewed 2,038 voters in 163 Brazilian municipalities, in the 26 states and the Federal District. The confidence level is 95%, with a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points, up or down.
