Deadline to withdraw PIS/Pasep salary bonus ends this Monday

The deadline for withdrawing the salary bonus ends this Monday (29). . According to the latest survey released by the Public Ministry, around 141 thousand workers have not yet received the benefit, totaling more than R$145.7 million available for withdrawal. The amount to be received is associated with the base year 2023, and those who work at least 30 days in the base year and received up to two minimum wages per month are entitled to the allowance – equivalent to R$2,604.

To date, R$30.7 million has been paid to 26,500 workers, which represents a coverage rate of 99.47% of the expected public.

PIS/Pasep is available for withdrawal at Banco do Brasil and Caixa, and the last wave of payment was released in August for those born in November and December.

If workers do not withdraw the money, the unpaid installments will be returned to the Workers Support Fund (FAT), from then on, to withdraw the amount it will be necessary to carry out the process through the Ministry of Labor.

PIS/Pasep 2026 change

From 2026 onwards, PIS/Pasep will have a new rule. Unlike the current model in which beneficiaries are workers with a formal contract and receiving up to two minimum wages, in 2026, the calculation will be adjusted based on inflation, which means that the tendency is for fewer people to be entitled to the benefit over the years.
