Forest fire in Innsbruck: isolated pockets of embers discovered again

Innsbruck – The forest fire that broke out on Saturday on the Nordkette high above Innsbruck, which affected around eight hectares, continues to keep the emergency services busy three days later. During a drone flight with a thermal imaging camera on Tuesday morning, “scattered embers” were discovered again, Marcus Wimmer from the Innsbruck professional fire department told the APA. Therefore, no final “fire out” could be given; extinguishing work would continue throughout Tuesday.
