The Government of São Paulo exceptionally extended the deadline for payment on state highways by 90 days. The measure applies to all vehicles that have already passed or will pass through the gantries until this Wednesday (31).
The deadline provided for by Contran (National Traffic Council) regulations is 30 days from the date of the ticket. The São Paulo government states that the charge will be temporarily increased so that users can check in.
For vehicles with valid tags, the charge is made automatically by the contracted operator. Anyone who does not have the device glued to the windshield using the means provided by the dealership. The fine for those who do not comply is R$195.23 plus five points on their license.
In the free flow model, capable of identifying the license plates of moving vehicles or the tag signal (the same type used in conventional toll booths and non-stop access parking lots) they replace the gates.
