Petrobras temporarily stops production on the Tupi platform

Petrobras temporarily halted production on the P-69 platform, in the Tupi field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt, due to a routine safety procedure, the company informed Reuters this Monday (29).

and produced approximately 106 thousand barrels per day on average in October, according to the most recent data published by the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels).

“Production of the P-69 was resumed within a few hours and continues to be normalized,” said the company in a statement, without going into detail about the reasons and date of the interruption.

The temporary production stoppage that began on December 15th.

According to Sindipetro-LP (Sindipetro Litoral Paulista), affiliated to the FNP (National Federation of Oil Workers), the interruption in production of the P-69 resulted from the stoppages in the category.

Petrobras stated, however, that the strike had no impact on production, and supply to the market remains guaranteed, without changes. He also reiterated that contingency teams were mobilized where necessary.

Several unions decided to end the strike last week, indicating acceptance of a final proposal made by Petrobras.

However, four unions affiliated to the FNP, including Sindipetro-LP, decided to continue with the strikes.
