At the end of 2016, Czech actor Pavel Trávniček (75) had great reason to be happy. The day before the end of the year, his wife Monika (40) gave birth son of Maximilian. The happy father, who was personally present at the birth, boasted to the media at the time that his child was born weighing 3210 grams and measuring 50 cm. For the artist she made famous the character of the prince from the movie fairy tale Three Nutcrackers for Cinderellathat was the third son – the firstborn is Adam and then he had Paul.
Today, Max is already a 9-year-old boy and both parents boasted about him when they published their joint Christmas photo. “Enjoy peace and quiet with those closest to you over Christmas, which means slowing down, relaxing, spending time with family and friends, enjoying time together, laughter and joy, instead of the stress of cleaning and baking. Let yourself be absorbed by the Christmas atmosphere and the magic of the present moment. It’s about love, connection and making beautiful memories, so allow yourself to switch off and enjoy it.” Trávničková wrote about the images. PHOTO can be found in the gallery!
Pavel Trávniček was born in Konice near Prostějov in a family where they were close to music, father played the violin and sister Marta teaches music. He spent his childhood in Moravská Třebová, where he actively played football and played the piano and trumpet. After graduating from the natural science gymnasium, he continued his studies at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, and after graduating, he was a member of the Mrštík Brothers Theater for 3 years.
Trávniček played the prince from a fairy tale based on Božena Němcová’s first major film role, which brought him popularity and admiration, while still a university student in 1973. And so well that if he only filmed this one role in his life, we would still remember him. At the screening of films for children in Ostrov nad Ohří, he was awarded the “Golden Pipe for the best acting performance by a boy” for it. Little is known, however, that his role was dubbed by the actor Petr Svojtka († 35).
However, Trávniček made his film debut alongside Božidara Turzonová and Miloš Kopecky in the comedy Hry lásky šalivé in 1971. In the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, thanks to his princely appearance, he was mainly cast in fairy tales: The Third Prince, About Happiness and Beauty, About the Nightingale and the Rose of Pearl. He also played dudes, soldiers or sons from better families: Time of love and hope, Drsná plainina, The story of love and honor. In 1976, he went permanently to Prague, guested at the EF Buriana Theater, the Drama Club and finally anchored at the Municipal Theaters of Prague.
In the 90s of the last century, he appeared in films less: Blow my strawberries, Ugly Katka, or the retro cycle Tell. At that time, he again became famous for his excellent dubbing. World acting legends (Alan Alda, Alain Delon, John Travolta, Steve Guttenberg, Terence Hill, Mel Gibson, Jeff Goldblum) spoke to us in his voice. After 1990, he also worked as the artistic director of the Musical Theater in Karlín. He founded the Skelet Theater and the Theater Illusion Biograf company, that’s all a thing of the past today. For several years, he hosted the music show DO-RE-MI on TV Nova with Sabina Laurinová.
