Solverde Casinos & Hotéis recorded a 6% increase in guests in 2025, to 229,464, and a 7% growth in average occupancy (59%) in its four hotel units, the group announced today.

In a statement, Solverde highlighted the 11% increase in Portuguese guests, signaling a clear trend towards an increase in national tourism, as they represented 41% of total tourists at the Hotel Solverde Spa & Wellness Center (Vila Nova de Gaia), Hotel Casino Chaves, Hotel Algarve Casino (Portimão) and Hotel Apartamento Solverde (Espinho).
The German market is the nationality with the highest increase in bookings, around 15%, followed by Spain with growth of 4%, the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

Quoted in the statement, the general director of Solverde Hotels considered that “the increase in tourism, increasingly driven by Portuguese guests, reflects confidence in the group’s units and excellent service”.
“A clear sign of this recognition is the strong growth in direct bookings, which registered an increase of 27% through our channels, without intermediaries. These are numbers that make us proud and that show that we are taking the right path in enhancing the guest experience”, maintained Albano Rosa.
Solverde Casinos & Hotéis is owned by the Solverde group, based in Espinho, operating in the areas of hospitality, entertainment and gaming in Portugal.
Since 1974, with the opening of Casino Espinho, the brand has opened four more casinos – Casino Vilamoura, Casino Monte Gordo, Hotel Algarve Casino and Hotel Casino Chaves – and four hotel units – Hotel Solverde Spa & Wellness Center in Vila Nova de Gaia, Hotel Casino Chaves, Hotel Algarve Casino and Hotel Apartamento Solverde, in Espinho.
