Rio Branco City Hall officially established Delas Day, an initiative aimed at recognizing, respecting and valuing the women who make up the municipality’s staff. The measure guarantees employees a day off once a year, as a way of recognizing the multiple journeys faced daily by many women, who juggle professional work, home care and family responsibilities.

The objective of Dia Delas is to offer a moment of self-care and well-being, allowing each server to use this time however they wish, whether for rest, leisure, health or personal activities. The action reinforces a policy of human valorization within municipal management, recognizing that the balance between personal and professional life is essential.
The creation of the initiative came from the sensitivity and vision of chief of staff Kelen Bocalom, who conceived the proposal as a concrete gesture of recognition for the dedication of women in public service. With the sanction, Delas Day becomes part of the city hall’s calendar of actions, strengthening management’s commitment to policies that promote respect, equity and female appreciation in the workplace.
