The State Department of Traffic of Acre (Detran/AC) published Ordinance No. 1,196, of December 19, 2025, which establishes the official schedule for renewing the annual licensing of motor vehicles for the year 2026. The deadlines apply to the entire state and vary depending on the final digit of the vehicle’s license plate.

The ordinance was signed by the president of Detran/AC, Taynara Martins Barbosa, and is based on administrative process nº 0068.001042.01669/2025-02. According to the text, the objective is to organize the flow of services and ensure compliance with legal obligations by vehicle owners.
The deadlines begin on March 31st for vehicles with final plates 1 and 2 and continue staggered until October 30th, the deadline for vehicles with final plate number 0. The rule comes into force on the date of its publication, but takes effect from January 1st, 2026.
Detran warns that driving with an expired license constitutes a traffic violation, subject to penalties provided for in the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), including fines, points on the driver’s license and retention of the vehicle.
