Ross Duffer41, one of the creators of the series “Stranger Things” revealed in an Instagram post that more than a million people will participate in the special sessions that will show the last episode of the season.
He also said that there are already more than 3,500 movie theaters full for the .
“More than 1.1 million of you have already confirmed your attendance at the final screenings on and on January 1st, and more than 3,500 screenings in more than 620 theaters are already completely booked,” Ross states in the publication.
He ends emotionally: “What an incredible way to — together. Who knows, maybe we’ll see you in Los Angeles?”, leaving the question of whether authors Ross and Matt Duffer would be in any session of the last episode.
The fifth season takes place in the fall of 1987. Hawkins remains shaken by the opening of the portals, and the group comes together one last time for a single goal: find and kill Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). As the anniversary of Will’s (Noah Schnapp) disappearance approaches, a familiar threat resurfaces. The final battle approaches and, with it, an even more powerful and deadly darkness.
The final season marks the end of the nearly 10-year journey of fan-loved characters Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp).
