Tesla factory manager in Grünheide rejects collective agreement and warns of more employee rights


The head of the Tesla factory in Grünheide near Berlin fundamentally rejects the introduction of a collective agreement for employees. This puts him in a clinch with the IG Metall union, which is facing a works council election soon. Plant manager André Thierig had already intervened in the election campaign earlier in the month. He links stronger workers’ rights to a decline in U.S. headquarters investment.
