Czech ex-president Miloš Zeman (81) spent the Christmas holidays in a close family circle – alongside his wife Ivana (60) and their daughter Kateřiny (31) at home in Lány. As reported by the Czech daily, a young woman nowadays struggles with health problems, which significantly complicate her daily life. Therefore, he is under the supervision of doctors from the Prague hospital in Motola.
The daughter of the former head of state lives and works in Barcelona, but she flew home urgently at the beginning of December. Her parents were worried about her long-term stomach problemsas a result of which she did not feel well. “My daughter is being treated by Professor Keil, who operated on me in the fall. He is a top doctor, and the same applies to his team,” said Zeman.
He is cautious in his statements about Kateřina’s state of health. “We asked him if he would take over Kačenka, and that happened. The treatment is ongoing, but it will still take time,” he explained, but revealed that she should be suffering from ulcers. “I haven’t exactly studied it, but I believe it will all get better,” he added.
Zeman underwent two operations
According to information, the ex-president in mid-October he underwent emergency surgery in Prague. His wife said it was about purulent abscess on the back, which required medical intervention. An abscess may have formed after a recently overcome bronchitistreated with strong antibiotics, while Zeman had a very demanding work schedule at the time.
About two weeks later, he was hospitalized again and had to undergo another operation. “Miloš is after an operation related to the digestive tract. The important thing is that everything went without complications, he is currently in a stable condition and is feeling well. He will remain under the care of doctors in the following days.” his wife said in early November.
