Ukrainian President Zelensky has expressed his determination to continue negotiations to end the war and is considering the presence of American troops as a security measure.
Ukraine is negotiating with US President Donald Trump about the possible presence of US troops in Ukraine as part of security guarantees after the end of the war with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Tuesday. TASR informs about it according to the reports of the AFP and Reuters agencies.
Zelenskyy told the media that Kiev was determined to continue talks on ending the war and that he was ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in any format.
An investigation team is investigating the attack
The Ukrainian president also made it clear that Kiev’s allies have the capabilities to verify whether the attack by Ukrainian drones on the Russian president’s residence in Valdai actually took place, as Moscow claims.
“As for the attack on Valdai, our negotiating team got together with the American team, went over the details and we understood that it was a fake. And of course, thanks to their technical capabilities, our partners can always verify that it was a fake,” Zelenskyy said.
