Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo are on the list of most undervalued players in 2025. According to a survey by the website Transfermarkt, which specializes in the market values of football players, the duo from Real Madrid and the Brazilian team suffered huge drops in value on the football market during the year
According to the website, Vini Jr. was the third most undervalued (50 million euros, R$326.2 million): in January, the player was worth 200 million euros (R$1.3 billion), while in December he was worth 150 million euros (R$979 million). Rodrygo’s market value, fourth on the list, went from 100 million euros (R$652.4 million) to 60 million euros (R$391 million) at the end of the year. Spain’s Gavi, from Barcelona, also suffered a drop of 40 million euros – his market value fell from 80 million euros (R$522 million) to 40 million euros (R$261 million).
The one who tops the list is Englishman Phil Foden, from Manchester City, who lost around 60 million euros (R$391 million). At the beginning of the year, the player was valued at 140 million euros (R$913.4 million) and is currently worth around 80 million euros (R$522 million).
In second place is Spaniard Rodri, also from Manchester City, who went from 130 million euros (R$848.2 million) to 75 million euros (R$489.3 million). Completing the list is Norwegian Martin Odegaard, from Arsenal, in fifth place, who was worth 110 million euros (R$717.7 million) in January and is now valued at 75 million euros (R$489.3 million).
It is worth mentioning that the two Brazilians experienced a turbulent year at Real Madrid. In addition to not achieving relevant titles recently, the duo performed below expectations in the first half of the 2025/2026 season and are experiencing an internal crisis at the club under the command of coach Xabi Alonso.
