Vitão at Flamengo: values and contract
Vitão goes sign a contract with Flamengo until 2029. Therefore, there will be four seasons of contract with Rubro-Negro, who had already tried to sign the defender in recent years. At the age of 25, he interrupted his vacation in the Northeast to officially arrive at the new club.
It will be the second time that Vitão will work with José Boto, Flamengo’s football director. They met at Shaktar Donestsk, a club in Ukraine. To hire the defender, Fla paid something in around 10 million euros, around R$65 million at the current price.

Who is Vitão?
Revealed in Palmeiras’ youth categories, the defender gained national recognition at a very young age, which took him to European football in 2019, when he was traded to Shakhtar Donetsk, from Ukraine. However, his time at the Ukrainian club was marked by instability, especially after the start of the war in the country, a factor that ended up shortening his career in European football.
In 2022, Vitão returned to Brazil to defend Internacional, initially on loan, and quickly adapted to Rio Grande do Sul football. Confident in marking, with good reading of the game and quality in passing the ball, the defender became the team’s absolute starter.
