At 64, Clooney has already praised French culture and stressed that the country’s privacy laws have given them a more reserved life.
In a broadcast on French radio RTL, broadcast earlier this month, Clooney, who even considered 2024, said that the family found a farm in France that they fell in love with.
“Here, they don’t take pictures of children. There are no paparazzi hidden at the school gates. That’s the most important thing for us,” he said. “We also have a house in the United States, but the place where we are happiest is on this farmwhere children can play to their heart’s content.”
In an interview with the magazine, published in October, Clooney explained that the family lives “on a farm in France”which describes how a property with 40 hectares of vineyards, 1,200 olive trees and a vegetable garden. The actor also owns a villa next to Lake Como, in the foothills of the Italian Alps.
According to the French press, the Clooneys acquired the property, located in a vineyard on the outskirts of Brignoles, in the south of the country, in 2021, for 10 million dollars — around 8.5 million euros.

Last year, Clooney recorded a New Year’s message in which he thanked Brémond and locals for their warm way they were received.

Clooney told RTL that he is trying to learn French through the Duolingo app, but acknowledged that, as he gets older, it is not an easy task.
