A great misfortune has struck the art world! Well-known Polish actor Ireneusz Pastuszak he died just less than a month before his 66th birthday. He died suddenly while on vacation in Morocco, where he was with his partner. Their trip together turned into a tragedy in an instant. The devastated woman later described his final moments.
The partner of the artist Leona Iwańska was with him in the last hours of his life. “He’s gone. He left last night. This is the last photo I took of him that day. It’s very much his style to die by the ocean—he’s always had a sea wolf under his skin. The devastated woman realizes that she will never have precious moments with him again. “It was our last sunset together, we still drank Moroccan mint tea. It was a good, peaceful day. A long-time partner, a kindred spirit. I will not add black and white photos. I wish everyone such farewells. Please don’t write condolences because it’s already a hard enough time. Ireneusz, we all thought you were indestructible,” she sent him to heaven. She also posted a shot of the sunset they watched together before he passed away.
He also commented on the actor’s sudden death daughter Paulina Pastuszak. “He left the stage for the last time. Irek, my father,” she wrote on Facebook. She is a well-known presenter and influencer in Poland. He also runs his own academy for beauty professionals.
The mayor of the Polish city of Tarnów, Jakub Kwaśny, paid tribute to him. “Ireneusz Pastuszak, the genius of the Tarnów theater scene, is dead. He breathed magic into every task. He was a real pearl of the Tarnów theater, without which it is difficult to imagine the cultural world of Tarnów. He was also an exceptional person who carried a unique love for art and culture. A huge, very painful loss,” stated.
