According to Moscow, Kyiv was hit by a Russian gas pipeline, and in Odesa, injuries are reported after the attack

The place where the attacks took place is crucial for the export of Russian oil.

A Ukrainian drone attack damaged port infrastructure and a gas pipeline in the Russian city of Tuapse on Wednesday night, regional authorities there said. According to Kyiv, Moscow carried out attacks in Ukraine’s Odesa region, reports TASR according to Reuters and AFP.

Russia’s SHOT channel on the Telegram platform reported that a series of explosions were heard over Tuapse late Tuesday and that residents of one neighborhood reported a fire.

Fire in Tuapse

Several Ukrainian media on the same platform published photos showing a large fire in the distance at night. However, according to Reuters, Kyiv did not immediately comment on the attack, and the agency was unable to independently confirm the veracity of the reports or the extent of the damage.

The city of Tuapse is key to Russian oil exports and has been repeatedly hit by Kiev’s drone strikes during the ongoing war in Ukraine, according to Reuters.

In the meantime, the Russian agency TASS reported that two people were injured in the nighttime incident. The attack also reportedly damaged five houses, an anchorage and an oil processing facility in the city.

Ukraine confirmed on Wednesday that Russian attacks in the city of Odesa injured four people, including three children. “The drones attacked the residential, logistics and energy infrastructure of our region,” the regional head of the local military administration said on Telegram.
