The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) announced this Wednesday (31) that the 2026 Supercopa Rei — the former Brazilian Super Cup — will take place on February 1st, a Sunday, in Brasília.
The entity said it studied the calendar and listened to clubs and the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro federations to arrive at the date.
The match between Flamengo, current champion of the Brazilian Championship, and Corinthians, current winner of the Copa do Brasil, will be played at the Mané Garrincha stadium, and the ticket load will be divided equally between the fans.
The Brazilian Super Cup was played again in 2020. Since then, Flamengo has won the contest three times, while Palmeiras, Atlético-MG and São Paulo have won one each.
In the most recent edition, Flamengo beat Botafogo 3-1, in a match played at Mangueirão, in Belém.
