The CBF defined this Wednesday (31) that the Brazilian Super Cup will be played in February 1stno Mané Garrincha Stadiumin Brasilia. The duel will put you face to face FlemishBrasileirão champion, and Corinthianswinner of the Copa do Brasil.
The entity evaluated different host possibilities, including cities in the Northeast, but the conditions of the pitches weighed against it. There was also the option of taking the match to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, but the final choice fell on the federal capital. Mané Garrincha will have equal division of fans (50% for each club).
Initially, the decision was scheduled for January 24thofficially opening the season. With the change, the State’s commitments will be adjusted: Flamengo would face Portuguesa on the 31st, while Corinthians would play against Capivariano on the 1st.
This will be fourth Super Cup held in Brasíliaall with the presence of Flamengo. The previous ones occurred in 2020against Athletico-PR, and in 2021 e 2023against Palmeiras. Outside the capital, the finals took place in 2022in Cuiabá (Flamengo x Atlético-MG), 2024in Belo Horizonte (São Paulo x Palmeiras), and 2025in Belém (Flamengo x Botafogo).
