Another year is coming to an end and there are still no real prospects for peace for Ukraine. It began marked by Donald Trump’s hostility towards Volodymyr Zelensky, shortly after resuming the position of President of the USA. It was a year characterized by advances and setbacks in diplomacy, but always accompanied by destruction and loss of life on the ground.
There is no normality possible in a conflict scenario that demands lives, livelihoods and, at night, tranquility every day. But the biggest shock of 2025, in political terms, occurred outside the country, in February, a few days after the fourth year of war.
