Muse Gizachew, from Ethiopia, wins the 100th edition of São Silvestre

Muse Gizachew, from Ethiopia, won this Sunday (31) the men’s race of the 100th edition of the São Silvestre International Race, held in São Paulo.

The Ethiopian overtook Kenyan Jonathan Kipkoech in the final 10m, on the final stretch of Avenida Paulista, to take victory with a time of 1h08min38s.

Kipkoech, who led most of the race, finished the course in 1h08min42s.

Fábio Jesus was the best Brazilian, finishing São Silvestre in third place (1h09min15s). He surpasses his best result, fourth place in 2022.

Tanzanian vence a prova feminina

with a time of 51min09s.

The Tanzanian, who turned 28 last Sunday (28), led the race comfortably and finished the course in 51min09s.

Cynthia Chemweno, from Kenya, was second with a time of 52:30.

The best Brazilian in the race was Nubia de Oliveira, who took third place after crossing the finish line after 52min42s, repeating her performance from 2024.

On her resume, the 23-year-old athlete has two Brazil Trophy titles in the 10,000m and is also South American champion.
