Driver invades preferential lane and collides with motorcyclist in Rio Branco

Motorcyclist Eliane de Oliveira de Paula, 39 years old, was injured after her motorcycle was hit by a car on Thursday night (1st), at the intersection of Rua Rádio Farol and Travessa Hawaii, in the Pista neighborhood, Baixada da Sobral region, in Rio Branco.

According to witnesses, Eliane, who works as a caregiver for the elderly and worked daily, was traveling to work on a black Yamaha Factor motorcycle with license plate QWN-6C01, heading towards the neighborhood-center along Rua Rádio Farol, which is the preferred route. At the intersection, she was surprised by a black Pálio Fire model vehicle with license plate NAC-2D61, which was traveling in the center-neighborhood direction along Travessa Hawaii.

The driver did not respect the mandatory stop sign and moved forward, causing the collision with the motorcycle. The crash hit the front of the car and, with the impact, Eliane was thrown, falling violently onto the sidewalk of a residence.

The victim became disoriented and suffered a fractured femur in his left leg, a dislocation in his left shoulder and a moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI). After the accident, the driver remained at the scene and assisted the motorcyclist.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and sent a basic support ambulance to provide initial assistance. Eliane was registered, immobilized and taken to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, where she was admitted in stable condition.

The Traffic Police from the Traffic Battalion (BPTran) was at the scene, isolated the area and carried out the usual procedures. The motorcycle was removed to the area of ​​a residence, while the car was removed from the road. Even with the removal of the vehicles, the examination was carried out, and both were later released.
