Flávio and Carlos Bolsonaro attack Alexandre de Moraes (STF) – 01/02/2026 – Politics

The minister, from the (Federal Supreme Court), was attacked on social media by his children (PL) after denying. The senator (-RJ) called the minister’s decision torture.

“How long will Moraes have power of attorney to carry out torture?” wrote Bolsonaro’s eldest son this Thursday in X.

The former president was admitted to the DF Star hospital, in Brasília, to undergo hernia surgery. He — which is why he underwent three surgical procedures, respectively on Saturday (27), Monday (29) and Tuesday (30).

Moraes denied the defense’s request that he not return to the Federal Police Superintendency in the Federal District, given this Thursday. The former president is serving a sentence for leading a coup plot after his defeat in the 2022 elections.

The senator claims that the decision is full of sarcasm for saying that Bolsonaro’s health has improved, which, according to Flávio, does not match the doctors’ assessment.

“The medical report is clear in pointing out that he needs permanent care that cannot be guaranteed in prison — there is even a risk of stroke due to complications in his health”, he says, offending the magistrate in the following: “Read the report, be abject!”

Former councilor Caros Bolsonaro (PL) also spoke out on the same social network suggesting that Moraes’ decision is part of a plot against his father.

“Any person with common sense knows what the given mission is, which needs to be fulfilled, and since when it was first issued…”, he wrote.

Carlos also shared the post by senator Magno Malta (PL-ES), denying that there is non-compliance with precautions, risk of flight and threat to public order. According to the ally, denying house arrest is “punishment, exposure and cruelty, imposed by Alexandre de Moraes”.

The former councilor also published a text saying that the minister’s decisions “violate basic constitutional guarantees, as they deliberately expose Jair Bolsonaro to real, physical and human risks”. He continues, inflaming militancy by saying that “immediately stopping this political persecution is not a favor, it is not a concession and it is not ideology — it is an institutional duty.”

“Brazil cannot be governed by personalistic decisions, without effective contradiction, without limits and without responsibility. Either the rule of law is restored now, with balance, guarantees and real checks on power, or the country will consciously move towards a point whose consequences no one can pretend they did not foresee.”

Bolsonaro was preventively arrested on November 22nd. Moraes’ decision was confirmed by the First Panel of the STF the following week. According to a Datafolha survey carried out in December, .
